The Parish Council has sought clarification regarding the road closures in Scotby and on the Scotby-Wetheral road. Amey/United Utilities have provided the Council with the following information.
Park Road, Scotby: Amey/UU say that they are on schedule to reopen this road in time for the start of term at Scotby School. They plan to hand the road back on the 2nd September 2018 at the very latest, though will do so earlier if possible.
Road from Scotby village shop to the Park Road junction: Amey/UU will be working to upgrade the water mains which run beneath this section of the road during September and October. They will do everything they can to avoid closing the road but it may be unavoidable.
C1038 Scotby - Wetheral road: This is likely to remain closed until the end of September. Thereafter single-lane working with traffic light control may be necessary for approximately 8 weeks.
