Below is a location plan detailing the extents of a temporary urgent road closure which has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out urgent repairs to a collapsed edge of the highway.
These works are due to commence 10th June 2019 and have an approximate duration of 5 days.
Location: A section of Plains Road (U1179) from its junction with the A69 for a distance of approximately 920m in a southerly direction.
Alternative Route: A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of Plains Road (U1179), Steele's Bank (B6263) and the A69.
