Temporary Road Closure - C1038, Scotby to Wetheral - 09.09.19

ROAD-CLOSED-SIGN

Attached is a location plan detailing the extents of a temporary road closure which has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out surface dressing works.

These works are due to commence 9th September 2019 and have an approximate duration of 12 working days.

Location: From its junction with the B6263 (Wetheral) extending in an overall north westerly direction for approx. 2.6km (to Scotby).

Alternative Route: Via Broomfallen Road and B6263.

They would be better spending the money and materials on a full resurfacing the road and not installing temporary patches which will fail in next winter’s frosts. That why British roads are in such a poor state and representative of third world countries.
