United Utilities Road Closures - Wetheral/Scotby/Cumwhinton

United Utilities is currently carrying out a number of projects in the area to clean and refurbish the water pipes.  There will be a number of temporary road closures and traffic management in place during this time. Advance notice signs will be in place and diversions will be clearly marked to help residents and visitors.  

Section 1 - Scotby to Wetheral

 From Monday 18 June 2018, the road between Wetheral and Scotby will be closed for approximately 12 weeks.  Once the road is re-opened there will be two-way traffic lights in place for a further 8 weeks. 

Section 2 - Methodist Chapel Road, Wetheral

From Monday 2 July 2018, the road between Wetheral Methodist Chapel and the B6263 (Steeles Bank) will be closed for approximately 10 weeks.  

Section 3 - Wetheral Pasture

From Monday 18 June 2018, there will be temporary two-way lights between the B6263, Steeles Banks, and Cumwhinton Water Treatment Works.  The traffic lights will be in place for 14 weeks. 

 Access to all properties within the road closure will be maintained at all times.  Pedestrian access and water supply will not be affected. 

The United Utilities team will be working from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.  From time to time they may need to work during evenings and weekends to minimise the amount of disruption caused.  Residents will be directly contacted if they will be directly impacted by this.
