Update on road closures, Wetheral and Scotby

One of the Parish Councillors has been in contact with United Utilities over the planned closure of the road from Wetheral Methodist Church to the B6263 (section 2 in the attached letter). He has been assured that United Utilities will not​ proceed with this while the B6263 is closed near the Village Hall. This means that this road, and also the road past the Priory Gatehouse will be available to enable residents to get past the Story closure between 24 September and 8 October. Please take extra care when using both these routes, however, as they are narrow and will be a great deal busier than usual. The Wetheral-Scotby road (section 1) will reopen this weekend, but the road through Scotby village (section 4) will be closed for 4 weeks from 8 October.
